Marley & Me: It's All in the Family

Marley & Me is all about the family. From mango filled dog poo to hilarious commentary by the main characters; this move brings out the laughter. Moreover, at the center of the film is a heartfelt story that draws the movie-goer in and keeps you there for the entire 120 minutes of the film. Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston are a great couple on the big screen. The audience can feel the chemistry. Aniston ventures away from some of her previous “stereotypical” story lines in becoming a mom and presents one of her best performances. In this film a new couple finds their way through life.

The film follows John (Wilson) and Jennifer (Aniston) Grogan from their wedding through middle age. The story revolves around their journey through life alongside their neurotic dog, Marley. The film is more than just a funny commentary on new family. The movie, directed by David Frankel (The Devil Wears Prada, Entourage) is able to bring the heart of the Grogan family into the film. This is not just a story of their family. Frankel, through the outstanding performance by Wilson and Aniston, tells the story of every family. The struggles of newlyweds, whether finding a place to live or finally deciding to have a baby. Then the film ventures into the joys and pains of new parents. Jen must decide to have a career or stay home with her kids. John struggles to accept his lifestyle and wonders if there are things he is missing out on in life. Meanwhile their story is told next to their naughty yet loyal and lovable Labrador.

The movie is not all great. The ending seems a little drawn out and too focused. At the same time the film leaves the audience wanting just a little more. These minute discrepancies are easily overlooked however. Marley & Me is a good choice this New Year and this emotional comedy will leave you feeling fulfilled and entertained. Dog lovers will surely enjoy the stupendous mastery of chaos that Marley presents throughout the film. I give this a 9 out of 10.

The Movie Picks of 2009

2009 has dawned upon us, and you know what that means... Yep, new movies throughout the year. Once again, Hollywood's going to be slamming us with tons of new films each month; from new flicks, to sequels, to remakes of old films. So what's going to be worth watching? Here's a new list of what could be some of 2009's big hits at the box office.

January

Paul Blart: Mall Cop: Kevin James stars as the title character, a clumsy mall security guard who must deal with a hostage situation at the local mall. This could be a fun spoof of action films for those looking for a quick, good laugh. (Jan 16)

Notorius: A biographical film about the life of rap star the Notorious B.I.G. Fans of the late musician, and of musical biopics like “Ray” and “Walk the Line” in general, will be interested in this movie, produced by his former manager Sean “Diddy” Combs and his mother Voletta Wallace, who appear in the movie played by Derek Luke and Angela Bassett, respectively. (Jan 16)

Hotel for Dogs: A pair of orphaned siblings and their friends turn a closed hotel into a home for stray dogs. Based on the novel by Lois Duncan, what could be a cute, fun film for the whole family. (Jan 16)

Underworld: Rise of the Lycans: The latest film in the “Underworld” series, which chronicles a war between clans of vampires and lycans (werewolves), is a prequel revealing the events that led to the war. Bill Nighy and Michael Sheen reprise their respective roles of vampire leader Viktor and lycan leader Lucian from the first film, though speculation remains if Kate Beckinsale will back as the tough and sexy Selene. (Jan 23)

February

Coraline: Young Coraline discovers a parallel world that looks like an ideal version of her dull life, but must later escape when she discovers its not what she thinks it is. Based on Neil Gaiman's novella, the stop-motion animation effects will appeal to fans of Tim Burton. (Feb 6)

Fanboys: In 1998, a group of “Star Wars” fans decide to break into the Skywalker Ranch and steal a copy of “The Phantom Menace” before its release so that their friend, who is dying of cancer, can see it before his death. While obviously appealing to “Star Wars” fans, others may be brought in by the touching plot. (Feb 6)

Friday the 13th: The latest horror franchise reboot borrows elements from the first three original films, with the focus on infamous hockey masked-killer Jason right from the start. Marcus Nispel, who directed the successful remake of “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre”, directs the new version, which features “Supernatural” star Jared Padalecki as main character Clay, who is searching for his missing sister. (Feb 13)

March

Watchmen: The long-anticipated adaptation of the greatest graphic novel of all time, about a group of outlawed superheroes in an alternate 1985 world investigating the murder of one of their own and discovering an even more sinister plot. A lawsuit from 20th Century Fox to block the film's release over alleged copyright infringement doesn't seem to be downing interest in the film or its release. (Mar 6)

Monsters vs. Aliens: When a UFO full of aliens appears and demands that the Earth be turned over to them, the military decides to use a group of “monsters” - including a 50-foot woman, an insect-headed mad scientist, a living gelatinous blob and a giant fuzzy bug - to fight them. The first CGI-animated film shot in 3-D and a fun take on the sci-fi films of old. (Mar 27)

April

Fast & Furious: Fugitive street racer Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) and ex-cop Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) are reunited and forced to work together to take down a common enemy. The latest in the Fast and the Furious series (set between the second and third), the return of original star Diesel should help bring in viewers. (April 3)

Dragonball: Evolution: The live-action adaptation of the hit manga and anime Dragon Ball features young Goku (Justin Chatwin) battling the evil Lord Piccolo (James Marsters) over the powerful, wish-granting dragonballs. The film was pushed back from it's original August, 2008 release to allow more time for work on the film, though the negative reaction and success of Speed Racer could play a factor. (April 6)

May

X-Men Origins: Wolverine: The first of a series of prequels to the hit X-Men franchise focuses on the history of the clawed mutant (Hugh Jackman) as he seeks revenge against the villainous Sabretooth (Liev Schreiber) for the murder of his lover. Jackman returns to the role that made him a star for the film fans have been clamoring for since the first X-Men. (May 1)

Star Trek: J.J. Abrams' reboot of the hit franchise features the characters of the original series played by a new cast (Chris Pine as Kirk and Zachary Quinto as Spock, for example) in their early days as they battle a group of time traveling Romulans who are trying to change history. The film is still highly anticipated despite the pushing back from its original Christmas, 2008 release. (May 8)

Angels & Demons: Prequel to The Da Vinci Code, in which Robert Langdon discovers a plot by the Illuminati Society to destroy St. Peter's Basilica while investigating a bizarre murder. Based on Dan Brown's book and starring Tom Hanks, a definite hit for fans of the book and author. (May 15)

Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian: The action moves to the Smithsonian, with pieces such as Amelia Earhart's plane, Al Capone's rap sheet and Archie Bunker's chair coming to life. The new film also features a young Kyle Reese (hero of the first film and Connor's father) and a Model 101 T-800 played by someone other than Arnold Schwarzenegger. (May 22)

Land of the Lost: Film version of the 1974 TV series about a group of people who find themselves in a parallel world filled with dinosaurs, monkey people and the vicious reptilian Sleestaks.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince: The film version of book 6 finds young Harry searching Voldemort's past to learn how to defeat him while dealing with girl problems and trying to uncover the identity of the mysterious "Half-Blood Prince". Expect a strong following despite negative reaction to the decision to push the film's release back to summer rather than its original November, 2008 date. (July 17)

August

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra: Stephen Sommers directs the film adaptation of the hit toyline, which features the origins of both the G.I. Joe team and the terrorist organization Cobra.

September

WHITEOUT: Based on the graphic novel, a U.S. Marshall (Kate Beckinsale) has three days to solve a murder in Antarctica before the winter season begins. The unique plot and the casting of Beckinsale (as well as Spirit star Gabriel Macht) should make for an interesting film. (Sept 11)

Twilight Movie Came Out

Twilight Came Out, Should I Go See It Before I Read The Book? Alright I know the movie came out already, and I still haven't read the book. I've heard all about it, it's pretty much all I hear at my house right now, because my whole family besides my dad has read the books and talk about them all day. I have heard all about Jacob, Edward, and Bella. My mom talks about how Bella deep down inside truly loves Jacob. She sounds like one of those people who analyzes everything about something.

Right now my sisters and mom are voting Team Jacob. I think anyway. I saw a few commercials for Twilight and I had to say I was impressed. It looked really good! The commercials really got me to want to read the book. Commercials didn't look all love/romantic so that helped. Reviews everywhere saying it was amazing also had a bonus. I have all the books, well at least my sister does. My sister is re-reading Eclipse for the second or third time now. I want to read it because it's about vampires but then people might make fun of me because it's more of a girl book.

I like reading especially series of books that turn into movies, like Harry Potter. I've read all the Harry Potter books. So what do you think? Should I read Twilight and the rest of Stephanie Meyer series and risk get made fun of by my family? Please leave a comment and click the “I like it button” Thanks =D .

Eagle Eye Review

Eagle Eye stars Shia LaBeouf and Michelle Monaghan as Jerry Shaw and Rachel Hollowman. The movie starts off with the government trying to decided weather or not they should kill a group of people they believe maybe terrorist. When a computer comes up with a 51% chance they are the terrorists the government acts and kills them all. Meanwhile Jerry Shaw an unsuccessful young man who works at a copy shop finds out his identical twin brother has died. You soon learn that Jerry was always in the shadow of his “perfect” brother who worked for the government.

Upon returning home to his apartment he finds boxes and containers filled with weapons, explosives, and forged documents. He then receives a phone call from an unknown woman who tells him that he has 30 seconds to get out of the apartment before the FBI get there and that he has been “activated”. While this is going on Rachel Hollowman is forced to do whatever the woman on the phone wants for fear that she will harm her son. The mysterious woman has the power to control anything electronic and helps bring the two together while getting them to do her bidding to take down the American government.

I thought the movie was a little plain. Don’t get me wrong it had some great moments and a good mystery. But some of it was to drug out and when the mystery is finally solved you are kind of left with an “oh okay…” felling instead of a shocking twist like your expecting. Despite this I still think it’s a movie worth seeing. The unknown woman gives a god-like twist in the form that the two main characters have no choice and are merely puppets. Although you might not enjoy it if you have seen I-Robot because it is defiantly a copy of that in most aspects. All and all I would give it a 6.5/10 not a smash hit but still something worth seeing.

The Dark Night: Tips for Seeing the Movie

Everyone's talking about the new Batman film The Dark Night. If you haven't seen it, you need to get off of your couch and head to your nearest movie theater, because all of the hype is true. But before you do, here are a few tips before you go see it:

Go to the bathroom beforehand. You don't want to be sitting in the theater with your bladder about to explode, and you definitely don't want to miss one moment of the action in your dash to the bathroom.

Don't buy a drink. Alright, a lot of you might think that's going a little far, but trust me on it. The movie is over two and a half hours long (which is longer than most movies these days) and if you get a drink you'll definitely need to go to the bathroom by the end. There isn't a moment in the movie that someone should miss - so make sure you don't!

Don't bring your baby or any very small children. A lot of little kids obviously want to see the movie, but if they are still at an age where they cry easily you shouldn't bring them to the theater with you. It's likely that they'll cry with scary characters like Joker in the movie. Keep the experience enjoyable for yourself and all of the other people watching the movie; if you have a baby crying in the theater people will get angry, and you'll have to leave which will make you miss the movie.

Don't wear big hats. This isn't as much a tip for this movie, but common movie etiquette. If you wear a big hat it could block the view of the person behind you, and that's just inpolite

If you're going to talk, whisper. Okay, we all know that it's a really exciting movie, and you'll definitely want to be talking about it with you're friends as all of the juicy action takes place. Please, if you're going to talk make sure you whisper, because not everyone in the theater wants to hear your commentary.

See it during the week while everyone else is at work. If you get a day off for some reason, this is the best time to go see The Dark Night, because there won't be many people at the theater since it's the middle of the day. Otherwise, I'm sure it'll be jam-packed.

Something is Funny in the State of Denmark: Five Hilarious Hamlet Parodies

William Shakespeare's Hamlet has been called the greatest work of literature of all time, and it's a story that nearly everyone recognizes even if they haven't seen or read the original play. It (along with the rest of Shakespeare's writing) is among the top three most alluded-to works in literature.

So, it's no surprise that the tale of the vengeful prince is so widely familiar-and so widely made fun of. After all, the original is both difficult to understand, in terms of language, and excessively long.

An uncut version of the play runs around four hours, and let's face it: that's way more than the average person's attention span. The solution? Shorten it! Of course, abridging a work of literature solely for entertainment is often done with less than total concern for the original's integrity… resulting in delightfully irreverent abbreviations. Here are five of the best humorously shortened Hamlets, guaranteed to make Shakespeare cringe and you laugh out loud.

The Simpsons' Hamlet

Who doesn't love The Simpsons? I've been a fan since I was too young to understand most of the jokes, but some of my favorite episodes have to be the literary parodies, making fun of everything from The Odyssey to Lord of the Flies. This approximately six-minute version of Hamlet, from an episode featuring three classic stories, stars Bart as the Danish prince and bartender Moe as his murderous uncle. It doesn't quite follow the real storyline, but the hysterical ghost encounter and play-within-a-play scenes more than make up for it.

The Animaniacs on Hamlet

Okay, this one isn't exactly an abridged version of the play, but it's too entertaining to leave out. This little cartoon “translates” Hamlet's “Alas, poor Yorick!” speech into modern English-and not very respectfully, at that. It's a little bit cutesy (it is a kids' cartoon, after all), but there's still plenty for us grown-ups to laugh at.

Seamus Kennedy's “Three Minute Hamlet”

Seamus Kennedy is an Irish singer and comedian, and one of my favorites among his pieces is his quick version of Hamlet (which is actually a little less than three minutes!) Some of the vocabulary's a bit odd, at least to this young American, and you'll probably want to look up the lyrics to make sure you catch everything, since he has to talk pretty fast to fit the whole story in so little time. But it's well worth it, especially the end! You can listen to the song on Seamus Kennedy's MySpace, and it's available for download on
iTunes.

The Reduced Shakespeare Company

The Reduced Shakespeare Company, which observes that “The comedies aren't as funny as the tragedies”, is famous for its show featuring ALL of Shakespeare's plays in extremely condensed versions infused with silly British humor. Their Hamlet is actually quite long (It's in four parts on YouTube; the link here is to the first), but certainly worth it. I'd also recommend the rest of their Shakespearean “reductions”, particularly Romeo and Juliet.

Hamlet in 60 Seconds

No, that's not a typo. 60 seconds. If you watch only one of these five Hamlets, make it this one. It's absolutely hilarious. I can't think of a better way to spend a spare minute. (Thank God for subtitles, though.) Oh, and I recommend using the “pop-up” video option; it tends to work better.

7 Movie Wrecking Personalities

Of all the things I like to do, I really enjoy going to see movies in theaters. However, there are some people in movie theaters that really annoy me.

In this short article I would like the chance to impart to you, the reader, my extensive research on the personas of the said people. I have delved deep into their psyches in order to determine what exactly is wrong with them and I hope you benefit from it on your next trip to the theater.

The Second Time Viewer

This category is kind of sketchy. It is possible for some people to see a film with you that they have already seen and remain acceptable. Some, however, do not possess the ability to exercise control over themselves. They will commonly say things like: “Ooh, this part is good” “Ooh watch this part” “This is great” “I really wish he didn't die in the end” “I have to pee” “Do you have to pee?” “Don't worry, they'll get him back for that one” “I wonder if they will make a sequel since all the main characters die?”

You can see how this person could easily drive you to commit a felony. I know that when I attend a movie with a second time viewer, it almost always ends with me stealing a car of some sort.

The Late-Laugher

This person can drive you absolutely nuts in no time. You can be sitting in a theater, watching your average comedy. Lets say Adam Sandler's latest. Now while we all know that Sandler makes movies with complex plot twists and multi-leveled characters that many people just don't get, we also know that he occasionally slips a tasteless joke into his films.

Because we are movie connoisseurs we know that the appropriate amount of time devoted for the best of these jokes is 7 seconds. 7 because 6 is less than it deserves, and frankly, 8 is much too indulging. Therefore, as you sit in the theater and one of these gags is pulled, you, with the audience behind you laughs, cutting off abruptly at the 7-second point. Approximately 25 seconds later, you hear a deep rumbling sort of growl coming from directly behind you, followed by a shrill scream.

Immediately, thinking you are about to be devoured, you dive beneath your seat, prompting your friend to kick you repeatedly and yell, “Get up you idiot, you are making a scene. And stop that screaming!” It is then that you realize that the sound you had heard was that of the 400lb man behind you in the couples bench laughing at the joke you had long since forgotten. I won't waste any more time analyzing this kind, as I think you can see why their inability to follow proper movie etiquette makes them a problem.

The Crier

This person can be a difficult one to deal with, especially if you are at the movie with them. As a male, it is sometimes difficult for me to relate to people of this category, because when a character in a movie I am watching dies, I have two possible reactions. I am either jubilant, because I disliked the character, or I want another character to kill the person who caused the death of a character that I did like. Females are different. On many occasions I have attended movies with my friends and as a character dies, I glance over at them to see tears pouring down their face.

Following the natural male instinct I quickly pretend not to have seen so as to continue being able to enjoy the movie without what women call sympathy. After a few seconds my conscience gets the better of me and I make a small attempt to offer my condolences over their loss. Usually it is met with an attempt to cause me bodily harm while at the same time stating in a whispered yell that she is fine. It was just that a misdirected insect flew into her eye.

I am amazed at how many of these insects are in theaters these days. You would think that after all these technological advancements, we would be able to properly deal with such a thing. If a person could invent some kind of chemical to eliminate them, I bet they would make a fortune.

The Talker

If there is any kind of moviegoer that I cannot stand it is this one. You go to a movie trying to see a movie. Simple enough. I think not. You will be getting wrapped up in the movie when your thought process is interrupted by some type of commentary.

At first it is no big deal, but it drones on and on through the whole movie until finally your friend gets so annoyed that she snaps, stands up and yells, “Would you shut up you idiot! I am trying to watch a movie!” Needless to say you are shocked at this outburst and therefore, stop talking.

The Giant

This person is frustrating. You know the kind. You are sitting comfortably in a nearly empty theater after having arrived early to get the best seats. You are settling in with your popcorn and drink as the previews roll. Suddenly, you feel a shock wave throughout the theater. You glance down at your drink, and watch it shudder. Your pulse begins to race as your gaze darts nervously around. You hardly notice your friend making comments about your sanity as you search for the T-Rex you know must be coming.

Just when you are almost sure that your time has come, you see Shaquille O'Neal's bigger, and wider brother. He glances quickly around the now rapidly filling theater and lumbers down the aisle, finally plopping down in the seat directly in front of you. You then spend the rest of the film watching through the gap under the monster's arm, which smells as if it is housing the neighbor's cat that you ran over a month ago. Luckily you are an optimistic person and try to make the best of the situation.

As a good little joke pops up in the movie, you and your friend laugh for the appropriate time (see late-laugher) and cut off. A few seconds later you hear that familiar roar, and once your friend gets your fingers pried off her leg and stops your screaming, you realize that Mr. O'Neal is a late-laugher as well.

The Screamer

These types are an interesting one. They can sometimes really make a movie fun in the right settings. However, they typically only push me right onto the threshold of insanity, which many misguided individuals might tell you is not much of a push, but that isn't the point. While I am fairly certain I have never before been pushed to that point, I have found that sometimes I am hard pressed to resist the voice telling me to strangle that scream right out of them. I recall a particular time when I was at a theater, fully engrossed in a wonderful production, when out of nowhere came a scream that barely registered in my range of hearing.

At first I thought someone was being murdered in that very theater, and being the heroic type that I am, quickly dove behind my seat to hide, so as not to be next. As the movie progressed however, and I determined that the murder most likely would have already taken place, I gathered the courage to peek over the seat, only to see a crazed woman, pointing with mouth open wide and emitting a sound that I can only imagine scrambled the brains of any dog within 5 miles.

I know that all people have a right to enjoy themselves at a theater, but it is just plain rude to inflict permanent hearing damage on innocent moviegoers, although I think the government should look into finding this woman for work in the war on terrorism, as she certainly terrorized me. Needless to say, I left The Lion King thoroughly disgusted.

The Windbreaker

I have very little to say about this person, although you should know that I do not mean a jacket. This person in my opinion is the most loathsome and foul person to appear at a theater. You may be sitting, minding your own business when suddenly it hits you. You inhale and immediately blow a fast stream right back out your nose. You desperately try to rid your nostrils of the poisonous stench but it has already attached itself to you and is slowly sucking the life out you. You claw at your throat, bash your head on the seat in front of you, and bite your tongue.

As the world around you goes black you see a guy 3 rows up chuckling to himself and looking around with a guilty expression to see if anyone has discovered him. You vow to remember his face.

As you can see, the movie experience is quite an emotional load, and should not be entered into lightly. Many a child can go into a rated PG movie and come out with an R rated education due to the surrounding audience. Hopefully I have properly prepared you for what lies ahead. The theater life is not for the faint of heart. I have shown you the door, but it is you who must choose to go through it.

More Movies You Probably Didn’t Know About

I had many people complaining that they knew about all the movies I had in my last article Five Movies You Didn't Know Were Being Released, so I decided to give you five more! If you know about all ten of these movies then you have just as much as a life as I do, Great Job!

Death Race (Sept. 26, 2008)

“An update of the cult classic Death Race 2000, in the not-so-distant future, a prisoner (Jason Statham) is forced to compete in a no-holds-barred car race.”

If Jason Statham is going to be in it than I already know it is going to be BA. I look forward to Jason using his Transporter style acting in another movie.

Land Of The Lost (July 17, 2009)

“Paleontologist Rick Marshall (Will Ferrell) finds himself teleported to another world that is ruled by dinosaurs and reptilian creatures known as Sleestaks. Based on the beloved Saturday morning children's show by Sid and Marty Krofft.”

Yes, Will Ferrell you get lost in that land and do what you do. You could probably make a movie about Will Ferrell being a mute and playing chess and it would still be funny. This was an amazing TV show back in the day, so I look forward to seeing this movie!

The Mummy: Tomb Of The Dragon Emperor (Aug. 8, 2008)

“In 1946, Rick OConnell (Brendan Fraser) and his wife Evelyn (Maria Bello) have just finished a tour of duty as spies for the British army and are looking for an exciting new adventure to go on. Their new assignment - to transport an historical artifact to Shanghai, China - seems easy enough, but trouble brews when they meet up with their son Alex (Luke Ford), who has just discovered the secluded resting place of the Dragon Emperor. When the ancient ruler (Jet Li) is re-awakened, the O'Connell family must stop him from also bringing back his terra cotta army with which he wants to reconquer all of China.”

JET LI!! That is seriously going to be amazing! Why did this movie take so long? Well I bet its going to be the best yet. Anyways have you guys ever been on The Mummy ride in universal? If you haven't you need to, may have been one of the best indoor roller coasters ever!

Punisher: War Zone (Sept. 12, 2008)

“Continuing his war against the world of organized crime, Frank Castle (Ray Stevenson) attacks and viciously disfigures mob boss Billy Russoti, who changes his name to Jigsaw (Dominic West) and raises an even bigger of ruthless gangsters.”

I feel like the first Punisher didn't get as much credit as it should have. The movie was truly incredible; it's a movie I can watch over and over. I am excited to see how they are going to continue the story. Rent the Punisher if you haven't seen it, it's worth it.

Yes Man (Dec. 19, 2008)

”Carl Allen (Jim Carrey) is living a very unhappy life. In order to acquire a more upbeat outlook, he swears to live an entire year by saying "yes" to everything. While his new philosophy has an initially positive effect on his daily existence, being 100% agreeable eventually starts wearing him down.”

Can anyone say Liar Liar 2? Is the pen blue “yes”, is the pen black “yes”. Well which is it black or blue “yes”?

Five Movies You Didn't Know Were Being Released

Some movies these days should never have made it to the theaters. I don't believe in walking out of a movie, so if it sucks then I get naptime! I am not saying the following movies will be bad, but I am pretty sure most of you didn't know they were in production.

5. Crank 2: High Voltage (2009)

“Chelios faces a Chinese mobster who has stolen his nearly indestructible heart and replaced it with a battery-powered ticker that requires regular jolts of electricity to keep working.”

Wow, didn't this guy fall out of a airplane and hit cement ground in the first movie. I guess we have another new superhero, lookout here comes Crankman! I didn't love the first movie, it was ok. I really hope this one will be a lot better!

4. The Incredible Hulk (June 13, 2008)

“Still stuck with the ability to turn into a raging behemoth, Bruce Banner (Edward Norton) desperately searches for a cure that will rid him of his gamma-irradiated alter ego once and for all. However, he's barely given a chance to stop running from the obsessed General Thunderbolt Ross (William Hurt) who will use the entire might of the U.S. military to find Banner and kill the Hulk. Meanwhile, Banner also must deal with his tortured relationship with Betty Ross (Liv Tyler), as well as contend with a new opponent, another gamma-created monstrosity called The Abomination (Tim Roth).”

I am going to start off by saying that I got some really good nap time during the first Hulk movie. It would have to be on my top ten worst super hero movies! But sadly I love marvel so I guess I will end up spending $6 to go see this movie anyways.

3. Madagascar: The Crate Escape (Nov. 7, 2008)

“Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, David Schwimmer and Jada Pinkett Smith all return to lend their voices to their animal counterparts: Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, Melman the giraffe and Gloria the hippo. After leaving the island of Madagascar, the creatures find themselves still lost on the African mainland.”

Awesome, I actually really enjoyed the first one! As long as they don't make a “Sharks Tale 2: Sharks Can't Dance” then I am good to go!

2. Star Wars: The Clone Wars (Aug. 15, 2008)

“George Lucas presents an all-new animated continuation of his mythos set in a galaxy far, far away. Taking place between Episodes II and III, Anakin Skywalker and his young female padawan Ahsoka attempt to keep the peace during turbulent times. The young Jedi and his apprentice team up with Obi-Wan Kenobi and Padme Amidala to stop the destruction of the Republic by Lord Palpatine, Count Dooku and General Grievous.”

Yes great idea, lets take all the mini episodes from cartoon network and turn them into a movie! It's like taking candy from a baby.

1. Dragonball (Aug. 15, 2008)

“A young boy named Goku seeks out upon his grandfather's dying request to find the great Master Roshi and gather all seven Dragon Balls (of which he has one) in order to prevent Piccolo from succeeding in his desire to use the Dragon Balls to take over the world.”

I never through it would actually happen, but it actually is. I really don't know how I feel about this, I am excited and nervous at the same time. If they mess this up I am going to be pissed off for quite some time. Also, no super sayians in this movie kiddos, this is Dragonball without the Z! Oh and it looks like you are going to have to compete with cartoon Star Wars, better change your release date soon!
