Having said that, as a film professional and connoisseur, I have seen almost everything, which includes foreign language films, animation, documentaries, etc. For a top 10 list, I would get rid of \"Dreamgirls,\" \"Waiting to Exhale,\" \"Soul Food,\" and \"Sparkle\" for \"Eve\'s Bayou\" (1997), \"Antwone Fisher\" (2002), \"The Color Purple\" (1985), and \"Nothing But A Man\" (1964). I would also have to find room for \"Hoop Dreams\" (1994). yes, it was a documentary but it was probably one of the best documentaries ever made. This is all just my opinion.

And what about \"Ray\" (2004)? Also, this list doesn\'t include some of the great foreign language cinema featuring a predominantly black cast and if it did, it would have to include a masterpiece like \"City of God\" (2002).
