Your Hopes for the Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince Movie

My hopes for the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince movie are expressed.

I started countdown for the release of the movie two months ago but had to stop it owing to the changed release date of the movie. It is a bit disappointment for me as the sixth book, Half blood prince, is my favorite book of the series.

I am one of the greatest fans of Harry Potter series(books). I love every book in the series and I love the movies too(not as much as I loved the books). Though I think the movies can not be compared to the books and the books are very superior to the movies, I love watching the movies to see what I have read in the books, on screen.

The characters in the books are portrayed very well in the movies by the respected actors and the movies are very good in their own space. The actors do so good job that while reading the books, we remember them and imagine them doing the acts we read. But comparisons are inevitable. It is not good to compare books with movies as the books are written in detail and same doesn't happen in movies. If a character thinks anything in the book, it can not be said as perfectly in movies. So, I stopped comparing the movies with the books long ago.

But I must say the prisoner of Azkaban is very well directed. It is the one part of the series which seemed perfect for me. There are some parts in the book which were not understood well but the movie showed it in detail.

At the same time, I must add that the fourth installment in the series, The Goblet of Fire(my favorite till the sixth one came out in the market) was not directed well. I was completely disappointed with the outcome of the movie. There are so many important parts in the book that all of them make it a wonderful book. But many of them were not covered in the movie. Though covering all of them is literally impossible for a two hour long movie, at least they could have made the movie better by showing the most important parts.

Now my biggest fear with the sixth movie is- what i it also ends up like the fourth movie? The reason for my fear is that this book had so many parts and in fact it has more parts than the fourth book. All the parts are very important in this book. One can not skip any part. I hope they make a good movie.

I believe that Warner Bro's makes good movie this time. If pictured and directed well, this would be the biggest movie of all the movies in the series. There is scope for lot of scenes showing Harry's magical abilities, special effects, and performances.

  • Some really interesting and exciting parts I am really looking forward to see are
  • Riddle's childhood memories through which Dumbledore and Harry take a tour.
  • Harry convincing Slughorn to give the particular memory of Riddle asking him about horcruxes.
  • Ron accidentally drinking the poisonous drink and Harry giving him antidote.
  • Draco's suspicious behavior.
  • The final battle in which Dumbledore dies.

I believe that if these topics are covered well, the movie would be a good one.
