I used to be the type of person who goes out once in a while to watch movies. I have watched almost all kinds of movies, from drama, action, comedy, horror to romance. But since I already have four children to take care of, I just buy dvd copies of movies that I watch at home during my not so busy hours. Of all the movies that I have watched, there is this one movie that I really enjoyed watching and this was You Got Served starred by Marques Houston of IMX and Omarion of B2K.
You Got Served followed the competitive world of street dancing where crews, the term they used to refer to the groups of dancers, battled each other for money and respect. Elgin (the character played by Marques Houston) and David (played by Omarion) were best friends and leaders of the best dance crew in the area. When another town's top crew challenged them to a battle, David and Elgin along with their crew members created and perfected the most cutting edge moves in order to remain on top. The stakes were raised as friends double-crossed each other and true motives were revealed.
When the biggest battle came to town, David and Elgin worked past their differences and proved that they were still the best crew on the streets. I like this movie not only because it showed the importance of friendship and teamwork to enable people to attain their goals but also because I was able to watch this movie at home with my family especially with my son who really loves dancing. My son has already won two annual dance competitions in their school. And I hope that when he grows up he will not only be good in dancing but also good in making friends.
