Go see “Click.” I just wanted to get that out of the way up front. Go see it. Right now! Get up and go see it. This movie is outstanding. If you thought it had potential but you didn’t want to get your hopes up only to be dashed again, don’t worry about that. You won’t have built it up too much in your mind to enjoy it. No, the funny stuff isn’t all in the preview. There’s plenty of funny left for the movie.
What about the “R” Rating?
If you like a family friendly rating I’ll tell you straight up—there is a dog humping a stuffed duck about 5 times. That and 1 or 2 pretty explicit shadows. Pull the aforementioned out and you have a rated PG film. I’m also leery any time Hollywood tries to portray an angel, dark or light. I think they try to be 10% edgy and shocking and 90% warm and fuzzy. They end up being 10% eerily accurate and 90% horribly misleading. Anyway, if you are familiar with magic realism that’s more the approach they take in this film. Believe me, I still haven’t wrecked the film for you.
What if I hate Adam Sandler?
I saw this with a friend who hates Adam Sandler. Every actor has a movie in them that will please even the toughest critic. This film should do that for Sandler. Even if you’re not a fan of Adam Sandler give this film a try. It’s him, but it’s not him.
Larger Story
For my fellow Christians who look for the larger storey in movies, this is definitely the best film for it since the “Incredibles.” Go see this film.
