His tremendous size allows Fat Bastard the gift of super-strength, as exampled by his enemy in the Sumo ring in Goldmember. This makes him a fearsome opponent for Austin Powers.
Fat Bastard is known for his disgusting temper, his urge to flatulate frequently, his offensive etiquette, his strange eating behavior, and a savor for babies . In Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, he tries to decline Dr. Evil's cash for his work in exchange for having Mini-Me for supper. Mike Myers has teasingly said that it took about 46 hours to change into Fat Bastard's body.
Fat Bastard in Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me
Fat Bastard had taken Austin's mojo in 1969, parting Austin impotent in 1999, since he was frozen for 30 years. After sleeping with Fat Bastard, secret agent and Austin's partner Felicity Shagwell places a tracking device in his anus. However, the device is unsuccessful and left in the toilet when he takes a number two. When Austin finds this out, he questions Felicity "I mean literally, how could you do it? The man's so fat the sheer mechanics of it are mind boggling!" Fat Bastard thinks he's sexy, but really he's hiding his feelings of denial from society. Throughout an assassination attempt against Austin, Fat Bastard has an emotional meltdown and he says "I eat because I'm unhappy, and I'm unhappy because I eat. It's a vicious cycle. Now if you'll excuse me, there's someone I need to get in touch with and forgive: myself," after which he let's a very loud fart rip. And then says "It's a long road ahead. Ah who am I kidding, I'm going kill you anyways!" He then attempts to kill Austin, but Felicity knocks him down with a kick to his testicles.
