A couple decides to kill suitors that come to the house only after an accidental death and having discovered that the wife can use her alluring talents. The choice of weapon is a fry pan. This dark comedy seems flimsy and off the wall at times because one wonders how so many bodies could be eliminated without an ounce of suspicion. Raoul, a pseudo repairman feeds that suspicion at times, one wonders why the couple actually believed that they could go along with the criminal especially when he was found to have business plans of his own. Yet the young Latin conman enters their lives and helps in the elimination of the bodies as recycled meat to restaurants. Raoul tries to convince the lady of the family that she dump her husband for him and share the wealth so there is a certain amount of comic tension created between the two men to see which one will survive.
Eating Raoul gets its name because this young eventually meets his demise and the couple gets away by hiding evidence by serving him to the man about to sell them a business. One can credit the film for the comic tension when suitor after suitor would come to the call house of these naïve suburbanites. Credit can also go to Raoul who was able to work with the criminal couple especially when elements of jealousy would creep out and he was suspected of dealings behind their backs.
