Must See Movies for Kids

A small list of movies that your kids should see. My kids watch these movies over and over.

Do you have children? Or maybe you are just a big kid at heart. I know in this house my husband gets all the movies that come out for kids the day they sell them. Partly for our children, but mostly for him. Our children is just a perfect excuse for him to buy them. Do you have something to do on the next rainy day when the kids are yelling they are bored? Try popping in a movie for a few hours and see how that does.

Happy Feet

This is my husband and all my kids favorites. They all can watch this movie over and over. I will have to admit its kinda cute. You may recognize some of the voices in this movie as being Robin Williams, Brittany Murphy, Nicole Kidman, Huge Jackman and Elijah Wood. This movie is about Emperor Penguins who express their true love by singing. This is called their heart song.

Mumble is a penguin who does not have a heart song. He can however, dance. His feet move faster then any penguins feet have ever moved. The Emperor Penguins are facing starvation and Mumble leaves due to a cruel exit and decides he has to figure out what has happened to all the fish so he can win back the love from his people. Mumble sets out on a journey while using his talents. The graphics in the movie are really good.

Cars

This is my youngest child's favorite movie and of course we have all kinds of apparel. There are a lot of well known actors in this movie. Some of the voices you will sure recognize are Larry the Cable Guy, Owen Wilson, Cheech Marin, Michael Keaton, Dale Earnhardt Jr, Jay Leno, Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, John Goodman, Douglas Keever and Jonas Rivera.

This movie is about a race car named Lightning McQueen. He is a rookie race car drive who thinks he is the best. That is until he ends up in Radiator Springs. While in Radiator Springs Lightning McQueen learns many lessons in life. He learns, love, respect and hard work really does pay off. The graphics and sounds are great for the younger kids, and the plot of the move make it even better for adults.

Open Season

Another favorite with my kids. Staring Ashton Kutcher, Martin Lawrence, Debra Messing, Jane Krakowski and Nika Futterman. This movie is about a bear named Boog who helps a deer friend named Elliot escape from the millet-sporting hunter named Shaw. They are on a misson threw the woods, meeting many friends on the way. Elliiott and Boog develop a strong bond with themselves and with other wild animals while attempting to drive the hunters out of their forest.

Some have said that this movie is to violent for kids and the rating should be changed. I don't really understand this. I don't see where its any worse then dropping acme products on one another heads. My children own this movie and they are allowed to watch it when they would like.
