Plot

Initial Action

Johnny's parents are fighting, Ponyboy's brother Darry hit him, which made him run into the park with Johnny and fell asleep. When they wake up the SOCS are drunk and want a fight, Johnny kills one of them and the rest ran.

Rising Action

Dally helps Johnny and Ponyboy run away to Windrixville, Oklahoma, to an old abandoned church where they lived for a few weeks.

Climax

Johnny lit up a cigarette with a match and threw it away, which ultimately led to the church burning down with nine children in it. Ponyboy, Johnny, and Dally saved all nine of them.

Falling Action

Johnny ended up in a hospital because of the fire. Ponyboy talked with Randy about the fight. The greasers had a battle royal with the SOCS and won. Johnny died in the hospital.

Dénouement

Dally robbed a store at gunpoint, he got shot by the storeowner. He called Darry to meet him in the park. The cops got to dally first and shot him dead.

Setting

The setting of the movie is 1966 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Windrixville, Oklahoma.
