Unusually top name Shawn Michaels made the long trip to the UK and joined his fellow raw stars. He battled Randy Orton in a classic encounter, Orton is the star of the Raw segment, as he took on not only Michaels but Jeff Hardy and Mr Kennedy too in three very different bouts, the other Raw match was soon to be tag team partners Cody Rhodes and Hardcore Holly facing each other.
Smackdown brought some star power too, but their roster was a lot poorer that raw at this time, matches here featured Great Khali, Kane, Chris Masters, Chuck Plumbo, Finlay, Matt Hardy, Rey Mysterio, Undertaker and MVP, some matches were basic squashes or tv fillers unfortunately.
ECW's input was minimal but did spring forth a nice handicap match with CM Punk and Kane taking on Big daddy V, John Morrison and The Miz, Elijah Burke, Nunzio versus Jesse and Festus rounded off that portion.
Live in the UK was a nice event, the matches are all full length and not cut, the crowd are in good spirits and the performers are mainly into their matches, not simply phoning it in as can happen when they go on a tour.
This will be of special interest to anyone who attended these events and wants a memento.
The extras house one nice bonus, the John Cena and Shawn Michaels match form the live raw broadcast from Earl's Court in London on April 23rd 2007.
All in all a nice set and well worth a purchase.
